Celebrating Two Years of Inclusive Support and Looking Ahead

AdaptNI Celebrates Two Years of Success and Growth

Northern Ireland, Monday 1st July 2024

AdaptNI Marks Second Anniversary with Remarkable Achievements and a Commitment to Future Support

AdaptNI, the only provider of specialist employment support for the Deaf, Hearing Loss, and Tinnitus Communities in Northern Ireland, proudly celebrates its second anniversary. Since our launch, we have been dedicated to fostering an inclusive environment and providing vital pre- and in-work support.

Over the past year, AdaptNI has achieved significant milestones:

·        40 Workable Participants Supported: Through the DfC-funded WorkableNI Programme, part of the SES Consortium (www.ses.org.uk), we have supported 40 participants. Our specialist support includes communication tactics training, employer learning, and confidence building, ensuring employment retention and awareness across various businesses in Northern Ireland.

·        SkillSET NI: Our SkillSET programme has empowered 40 individuals, equipping them with the skills and confidence to enter the workforce.

·        Successful Transitions: 17 participants from our SkillSET programme have either secured employment or achieved other positive outcomes.

·        Employability Course Success: All participants in our Employability course have earned an accredited Level 2 qualification, enhancing their career prospects.

·        FSB New Start-Up Award: AdaptNI has been recognised as a winner in the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) New Start-Up Awards, highlighting our innovative approach and dedication to supporting the Deaf, Hearing Loss, and Tinnitus communities in the workplace.

"We are incredibly proud of the progress we have made over the past two years," said Laura Murphy-Sloan, AdaptNI. "Our success is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team, as well as the resilience and determination of the individuals we support. We are committed to continuing our mission of creating inclusive employment opportunities and supporting the diverse talents of our community."

As we look to the future, AdaptNI faces a crucial challenge: our current funding is due to finish on 31st March 2025. We are working tirelessly to secure ongoing support to ensure that we can continue to provide essential services for the Deaf, Hearing Loss, and Tinnitus communities.

With your continued support, we are confident that we can overcome this challenge and achieve even more milestones in the years to come. Together, let's ensure Deafness, Hearing loss and Tinnitus are not barriers in employment and that everyone has the opportunity to thrive in an inclusive and supportive work environment.
