Adapt is a voluntary organisation established in January 2000 by Breea Ross in association with the Craigavon Health Information Project. Breea was concerned for local people who were affected by Anorexia and Bulimia due to the lack of specialist services and information on eating distress in the area.

Adapt’s Functions: SELF HELP GROUP
Adapt provides help and support to people with eating distress as well as their friends and family through self help/support groups. These groups meet on the last Thursday of every month (except July and December) at the Adapt Office in Lurgan from 7.30 – 9pm. (see the latest events page for the date of the next meeting). There is a group that meets for sufferers of anorexia and bulimia and another group of Carers that meet separately at this time. To find out about the benefits of joining a self help group click here

OUTREACH AND DROP IN
Help and advice is also available on a one-to-one basis through outreach services and drop-in to the Adapt office in Lurgan.
